TaskStep 1.0 Approaches
Yep, TaskStep 1.0 finally approaches, although I’ll admit that very little has changed from the alpha. Originally I thought there was an enormous gaping security hole (MySQL injections) but it turns out the only access a hacker would have is the login form, which is already encrypted before it is passed through the database and so does not need addslashes() run on it as well.
I’m going to leave the next week to bug hunting and last minute changes before releasing it as a final 1.0 version.
Suggestions for any changes and bugs are very welcome either in the comments or the forums.

Hi Rob,
I found a reference to your program in a Linux Magazine article, so I’ve tried the 1.0 version. I believe it’s very useful. I translated the language file into Hungarian, should you want to internationalize the software.
A few questions and issues:
1. Is there an option to change the date format to fully customize the page?
2. The link to Help at your website doesn’t seem to work.
3. Would it be possible to get rid of the Welcome message? It’s fine for the first use, but becomes irritating later. Moreover, task lists would require more space.
4. Normally, when you provide your login name and password correctly, you jump to the front page. In TaskStep, you have to click again. Is there a security or other reason for that?
Again, it’s a great program. I hope you will have the time to further develop it.
