I know it’s only early November, but there isn’t much left to go on the album-releases front. So, here are the top releases from this year, in my opinion of course. To be honest though, if any of the artists listed below appeal to you and you haven’t got this year’s album, buy it. This year has been truly stunning for releases.

Just a very quick post (I should be working) about a band called The Winter Revolution, who I just discovered on last.fm. It’s all very relaxed indie stuff, some of which is quite good and other perhaps slightly too weird.
Most importantly, on last.fm you can find two of their EPs as completely free legitimate downloads. Worth it if you like their sort of music.

Just upgraded the site to WordPress 2.3.1 without much trouble, although Fantastico is phenomenally slow to get the latest update and I had to fix the sidebar icons for categories.
WordPress 2.3.1 includes support for tags. I have no idea what this means or what difference it makes. Anyone care to enlighten me?
[UPDATE] Good news: the update also fixes the old bug with the bar at the top, where if you were logged-in you still had to click the login link to get it to display your username correctly. That’s all fixed now.
